Woo-Hoo!! I think I may have done it!! I've finally got my three year old (Yes 3!) to potty train!!! After weeks of struggling with this little dude I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel!
So, little dude turned 3 a couple weeks ago and I wrote how I was going to conquer this issue. That week, I decided to buy him ANOTHER potty seat to see if Mickey Mouse characters would make him go.
That weekend, little man went on a potty training boot camp. From the moment he woke up, I took off his diaper and introduced him to his potty seat and undies. He was really excited to see his good friend Mickey and knew exactly where it needed to go, on top of the toilet seat. Afterwards, we "agreed" to visit Mickey every hour. And that's when his training began!
Every hour on the hour, I told little man it was time to go "pee-pee". He happily obliged as he asked if he can see Mickey Mouse. Nothing came out for a couple hours, until finally I heard...
"MOMMY! I DID IT!!" with a lot of clapping to go with it. Both little man and I rejoiced with this big accomplishment that he even asked to call daddy at work so he can tell him.
Tomorrow, it will be week 2 for him since he first officially potty trained! We dinally got the "pee-pee" down BUT we're still trying to make little man "poop" in the potty. Which is why, I said I kinda conquered potty training. So, any mommies out there care to share what they did to get their little one's to poop in the potty? I'm all ears!
