BOO! Plus A Birthday Party Too!

One of the most popular words to say in October! So let me ask, has anybody booed you yet this month?  If not, then maybe you can start the trend.  Huh?!? What?!? Boo people?!? Yep!! You can boo people and start a traditon!

Before I go on, let me give you some history of the BOO! Believe it or not, people aren't sure how it started!  Many say that it could've originated in the 1980s.  Families would get a knock on their door, find no one there but see a surprise of halloween treats with a friendly poem from a secret ghost! That's right... it's like Secret Santa during the Christmas holidays BUT for Halloween!

Now, I didn't learn about the booing till last year when I was "googling" fun stuff to do for our Halloween Party at work.  I figured, "Hey! Why not? If it works for neighbors, it can work for the office too!" AND... it was a complete success with a new office tradition in place!

How To Boo

So how do you get the tradition going?  It's pretty simple!
  • Print a Color or Black & White "BOO" sheet and include it with a delicious treat on the Been Booed website.
  • Leave it on someone's door step
  • Ring the bell
  • Run Run Run!

If you have been Boo'ed, cut out the ghost and place it on or near your door so you won't be Boo-ed again. By the time you know it, you've started a new Halloween tradition in your neighborhood AND at work (Did I mention that it works at work?)

Whatcha waiting for? Print up a couple ghosts and make somebody's day today by saying BOO!! Have fun!!

Celebrate my birthday with me all next month! I'm giving away $100 in groceries to kick off the holiday cooking.  Interested in co-hosting the giveaway?  click here to fill out the quick form so we can celebrate together!

  8. How fun is this! I don't think it would be wise to do in our current neighborhood, but I sure will keep it in mind for when we move.
