My Hubby the Daddy

Meet my Hubby! Possibly the best daddy ever. Funny thing is, he wants to keep it on the down low. Guess what? Not going to happen today!

When we first started dating, one of the first things we spoke about was having kids. I already had a son from a previous marriage and he a daughter from a previous relationship. Both were already in high school at the time and we wanted to become parents again. Little did we know that a few months later, we got pregnant!

Now here is why my hubby is the best daddy to our little one. At the time we found out we were pregnant, I was still brand new to the city of San Antonio -, about 2 days! Therefore, I needed to get myself established. Luckily, I was able to find a job within a matter of 2 weeks.  The job paid well and thankfully gave me benefits right away. Because of the baby on the way, we started talking about our options once he was born (I had a feeling he was a boy). Would we put him day care? Would I stay home? How are we going to afford it? etc., etc.

Then one day, my hubby came home from work. He said that he worked things out with his boss and that he will work part-time once the baby came. I looked at him in disbelief and asked why? He figured that the baby needed to be with one parent for at least a year. The money I was making provided us with what we needed (rent, food, etc.). So it was decided, my hubby would be a stay at home dad!

We don't regret it one bit! The little one has become closer to daddy (I'm jealous!!) and has also learned a lot from him too. He loves to play ball, watch sports, and even clean house with daddy!

Baby is now 2 years old and hubby has since gone back to work full time. I'm not sure if anyone else would have done what he did. It was a sacrifice and I love him so much for doing what he did! So, to all the fathers out there, thank you for being a huge part of your child's life!
