Dare to be Different Creative Challenge
My blog friend Asha from The Whimsical Peacock invited me to do a creative challenge that she's hosting with Angela from My Personal Accent. When it comes to creating things from scratch I am an epic fail! It never seems to come out right which is why I am not a designer of any sort!
However, Ms. Asha assured me that anybody can do it! Her blog posting even says it:
(YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A PRO! YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY…FAKE IT TILL YA MAKE IT) IF YOU CAN CUT, PRINT AND GLUE, YOU CAN DO IT!
The rules to the challenge say:
YOU MUST USE AT LEAST 2 OF “ALTERED ARTIFACTS” DOWNLOADABLE IMAGES. YOU MAY DOWNLOAD IMAGES AFTER VISITING THE WHIMSICAL PEACOCK® AND MY PERSONAL ACCENT IN SEARCH OF A “HEROINE” ON FACEBOOK, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS “LIKE” OUR PAGES, & UNLOCK THE IMAGES. THEN YOU ARE OFF TO CREATIVE HEADQUARTERS!
Ok, Asha! I will fake it till I make it! I decided to check out the beautiful downloaded images from Altered Artifacts and found these lovely printables:
Pretty, huh? Afterwards, I took each picture and altered it on picmonkey by adjusting the sizes and putting words on one of them:
Voila! If you haven't used picmonkey yet, give it a try! It's awesome! Now I needed to figure out what to make. Ah-ha! How about a printable and a card? GOT IT!
Have you ever used Microsoft Publisher before? If not, I am there with you! This was my first time dabbling in it and I LOVE IT! I will have to write another post about it just because I am in awe with the tools it has to make cards and printables! So, without further ado, check it out:
What do you think? I've acquired some mad skills compliments of Asha! Now, if I can do something like this, so can you! Go for it and maybe you will be the prize winner of the Dare to be Different Creative Challenge! Hurry though! It ends on July 12th!
