Summer Time is Almost Here and Still Figuring Out What to Do!

Google Images
Memorial Day just came and went this week and now it is the unofficial start of summer! However, I still have no idea what to do for the next couple months!!!

I do know what is in my future and quite frankly... I am not too enthusiastic about it:

I've mentioned in a previous post that I have to take my 2 weeks of vacation by August 31st. So obviously, conversations took place between my hubby and I:

Me: "Hon, I have to take my 2 weeks of vacation before August 31st"

Hubby: "Ok"

Me: "Well? Where do you want to go?"

Hubby: "Wherever you want to go"

Me: "Well... that's why I'm asking you"

Hubby: "We can stay home and watch the Spurs Game"

Me: "!#@*%!?!@%!!.... WHATEVER!!"

Anyway... After that weird conversation, I am still at a lost as to what to do with my 2 weeks of vacation. Since I am almost at burn out mode, I am thinking these might be the answer:

Either way I go, I deserve my 2 weeks of time off!
How are you spending your summer vacation?

  1. Before the house stress is truly starting, we're going on a little family vacation to the Bavarian Forest. I was able to rent a nice little apartment via my company, so excited!!

    1. Hi BB!

I've been wanting to go on one for like FOREVER! The nice thing is that I am near Galveston, TX. It's where the cruise ships are. Seing my hubby's conversation on here, it will take a lot of convincing! I might have to call in the girls and do a girly vaction or something! Thanks for stopping by :)

  3. I always love the way you use pics in a humorous way in your blog! I enjoyed looking at them as well as reading the post! I just booked a flight to Europe to visit my folks back home while stopping in Paris for three days on the way back. Things have been so hectic that I cannot believe it's actually happening!
And yes...you absolutely deserve your two weeks off regardless of where you decide to go!

    1. Oooo!!! Europe sounds nice too! I've never been and Spain is on my bucket list! Eating tapas in Barcelona will be a dream come true :). Enjoy your vacation. I know you've been overwhelmed with teaching. It should be a cool treat!!

  4. This summer, I will spend my time moving from the United Kingdom back to the U.S. And trying to get use to driving on the right side of the road and car again. But since I can not be selfish and hog all the fun that I am going to have unpacking, registering child for school, painting, and getting our kitchen remodeled, our seven year old has decided that we are going to Disney. She is paying for the trip. LOL. Yesterday she wrote me a check in crayon from the Bank of Madyson (her) for $6.03. Thank goodness, mommy has a rainy day fund. I don't think Minnie Mouse takes crayon checks no matter how beautiful decorated they are

  5. Your hubby must be a Sagittarius. Although to be honest, there's nothing wrong with doing nothing on a vacation. I actually enjoy that (well, maybe not the part about watching a Spurs game). But definitely sleeping in, reading, going to the beach, kayaking -- perfect for decompressing from a totally hectic and stressful job.

Mind you, a trip to Hawaii is kind of nice too.

    1. LOL! He is actually a Libra :). I LOVE the Spurs and am also secretly rooting for the Lakers every season too. Now that they've won the Western Conference Final, I'll be watching more. At the same time, my hubby as sorta made up for his comment - he took us to Morgan's Wonderland yesterday which was a treat! Although, I still need to burn off 2 weeks of vacay. Thanks for stopping by!!
